His Hands for Africa
Our goal is to support and encourage the work of our brothers and sisters in Christ on the continent of Africa and to support the ministries of their churches, giving special emphasis to helping with the ministries of their schools and in supporting children to enable them to attend school. We strive to demonstrate the love of Christ through works of service to these churches as well as to other Christian missions and missionaries on the continent of Africa as we have opportunity – to be God’s “hands and feet” and His servants to His children in Africa.

We will soon be launching a new web site for our new program, His Hands for Africa. For now, please enjoy this small taste of what is to come and please be sure to check out the children on this page who are in desperate need of a sponsor.

Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?" And the King will answer and say to them, "Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to me."
Matthew 25:37-40

Years of conflict, instability and insecurity have greatly impacted the Great Lakes region of Africa. War, genocide, AIDS, natural disasters and the inevitable poverty brought on by these things has left many children in traumatic and devastating situations. Many of them have been orphaned. As a result, 1 out of every 5 children in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda, and 1 out of every 7 children in Uganda, will not live to see their 5th birthday.

His Hands for Africa has partnered with Shalom Ministries in East Africa to make it possible for people like you to help a child living in Rwanda, Uganda or the Democratic Republic of the Congo to attend school. Sponsoring one of these beautiful children can help them to attend school, giving them an education and hope for a brighter future. Your generous, tax-deductible donation can help change the life of a child in need.

Recent developments in the D.R. Congo
There has been much fighting recently in areas of the Congo near to Goma. In recent messages we received from our partner in Africa, Pastor Stephen Bamuleke, he reports, "My recent visit to Congo was a hard time as people over there live in terror caused by insecurity and frequent fightings between the government forces and rebel forces.....fighting has again erupted after about two weeks of cease fire....I went to see the IDPs [Internally Displaced People or refugees] at 4 kms from Goma town and it was pathetic to see innocent people sufferiing for reasons they do not know."

If you would like to make a donation to help purchase medicines for the Shalom Ministries clinic in Goma, which is working hard to help meet the medical needs of the displaced people who have come into their area, please contact us.

Please pray for the people of the Congo and please consider helping one of these beautiful children attend school and have hope for their future.
